Every Discarded Piece Carries A Story Waiting to Be Retold.
Lumin and her team create bespoke, one-of-a-kind upcycled artworks using waste materials such as cardboard, textiles, and plastic. Sourced from local communities, these materials are transformed into meaningful visual experiences that reimagine waste as a medium for storytelling and impact.
Their sculptures have been exhibited across a range of public and cultural spaces, including museums, shopping malls, schools, and music festivals, engaging diverse audiences in conversations around sustainability, creativity, and conscious living.
Pink Earth
The Fashion Parade community created a 2-meter tall pink earth made from discarded textiles. We collaborated with Kloth Circularity and Life Line clothing to source these materials.
The installation symbolises the Earth and its fragility, drawing parallels between the disposable nature of fast fashion and our planet's vulnerability. It is fun and playful but holds a deep and important message.
Disposable Planet
Commissioned for City Sprouts in 2025. This upcycled fabric globe features flora and fauna local to Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The Art of Everyone
The heart of this exhibition features a collective community mural, a tapestry of portraits created by the diverse hands of individuals from all corners. Aptly named "The Art of Everyone," this compelling installation transforms discarded textile waste into a gallery of stories, highlighting the power of art to transcend boundaries.
DUO Reimagined
Through rethinking the life cycle of materials, from single‑use to second life, this handcrafted replica of DUO Tower, Residence, Hotel and Galleria is built entirely from 79.6kg of waste materials collected from within the building itself, including cardboard, plastic, fabric offcuts, e‑waste, contact lens blisters, eyewear, light bulbs, as well as books.
Once Upon a Time
Crafted in collaboration with Singapore Book Council and DinoStaury - The Fashion Parade team created a world of children’s stories embedded in the an upcycled textile globe.
Waste to Wonder: Singapore's Icon
Created five 2 meter tall scuptures made from textile waste. All sculptures were created entirely from locally sourced waste. By reimagining waste materials, we hope to inspire a greater appreciation for upcycling and the positiveenvironmental impact it can have.
Sentosa Cove Community Mural
Displayed at Sentosa Cove, this mural features self portraits and motifs of the residence and community. Created entirely out of discarded fabrics - this mural is a testament of creativity and sustainability.
