In October 2021, 22-year-old Lumin (@bylumin) founded Fashion Parade (@fashionparadesg), a fashion collective catered to the Gen Z crowd. This fashion forward collective educates its followers on sustainable fashion through its creative social media content. One of the recent notable projects that Lumin has worked on is an installation for Singapore Art Week at Nowafter Cafe, a hip industrial-style Korean desserts cafe at Design Orchard. “I think it’s important to consider all factors and all impacts of decisions,” shares Lumin, when asked about how she incorporates sustainability in her business. “From the design process or organisational get go all the way to the end result and outcome. Researching and constantly learning from experts, always searching for better alternatives.”

Lumin breathed new life to her hair with the help of Kenzo How (@kenzohow_1106) at Revival Hair Gallery (@revivalhairgallery). Kenzo picked a combination of cool beige and chocolate brown for Lumin, who wanted something “natural yet different”. Lumin comments that the lack of ammonia odour was what made the hair colouring experience unique to her, and she looks forward to rocking this new do.
